The GPBA is a category-based networking organization. Since our goal is to generate business for members, we try to avoid competition between members by admitting only one company that markets a particular service or product. For example, we have a financial planner, an accountant, a banker, and a company that does business valuation. We would not admit another accountant, nor would we admit a stockbroker, since our financial planner sells securities. But we have two companies involved with real estate: one a tenant leasing representative, who focuses on commercial real estate, and the other a residential real estate broker.
If you've reviewed our list of members and think that you represent a different kind of business from the rest of us, please don't hesitate to join us at a meeting. We meet twice a month for lunch and networking. Members must not miss more than two consecutive meetings, and must attend at least 50% of the meetings. Beyond that, we have few rules: there is no requirement to give leads to other members (although almost everyone in the group for more than a month or two has both received and given leads), there is no requirement to bring a guest to every meeting (although you are encouraged to bring a guest in a new category at no charge to you or the guest), there are always opportunities to make announcements and presentations to other members, and there is plenty of time for casual networking with fellow members.
Dues are $100 annually, plus a $50 initiation fee when you join. Members also pay a $75 per quarter assessment to cover our wonderful lunches.
Why not give John Powell a call today, and join us at our next meeting? We're looking forward to meeting you!
